ONE WARRINGTON:
ONE FUTURE

WHERE EVERYONE MATTERS

A SUSTAINABLE COMMUNITY STRATEGY
FOR WARRINGTON 2009 TO 2030

Warrington Partnership

One Warrington: One Future has been developed by Warrington Partnership - the Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) for Warrington. The Partnership is not a statutory body but a collection of organisations and representatives who choose to work together. Formed in 2001, it provides the forum for the borough’s public service providers, voluntary and community sector and business community to collectively identify a vision and priorities for the borough and review and steer public resources towards achieving them.

LSPs are important mechanisms for tackling complex problems that no single organisation can tackle alone, such as the economic direction of an area, community cohesion, social exclusion or climate change.

By joining up services and tackling such issues together in a coherent, integrated way we aim to bring about sustainable improvements to the quality of life of local people and to create a community in which all people, whatever their background, have a chance to fulfil their potential.

Warrington Partnership is made up of over 60 organisations. There is a main strategic board called the Partnership Board which is chaired by the deputy leader of Warrington Borough Council.  The board is supported by a Delivery Board, which helps monitor performance and four thematic groups with working groups established to focus on specific issues. Six area boards were set up in 2008 to tackle local issues on a neighbourhood basis. The partnership is underpinned by the community network which brings together all of the voluntary and community groups in the borough.
